Half Moon Bay

It’s official – we love Half Moon Bay. Our lodging, on the other hand, not so much. After two long days of driving to get here, we couldn’t wait to sleep in and chill out. The Cypress Inn had other plans.

Our room, La Luna, was right on the water – gorgeous – and right off the lobby – so noisy!! The inn hosts breakfast from 7 am to 10 am. From the clanging of plates and silverware over those three hours, I imagined them feeding hundreds of troops, not small inn’s worth of people.

I have never complained about accommodations before. Maybe it was the sleep deprivation, perhaps it was the true annoyance of the situation, I simply couldn’t bite my tongue. The only problem? We would have to move every couple of days to have a room away from the lobby. Oy. Hardly the relaxing experience we were in search of.

We agreed to the first new room for the next two nights and started searching for an alternative. In the meantime, we did our best to enjoy the area…

Shipwrecked!

Young Mariachis wait to perform.

Does this happen?!

Sky blue/blue skies.

Maverick’s Beach

Avenue Granada pathway.

Sunny wild flowers fill in for foggy skies.

Tune in tomorrow to find out what we decided to do next…
