The Perfect Weekender

Anytime is a good time for a weekend getaway. RF and I have been known to wake up on a Saturday morning and decide right then and there to hit the road for a night or two. One of our favorite routes is the North Cascades Highway with a stop in Mazama or Twisp. Anywhere along the coast, from Vancouver BC to Cannon Beach, OR is also fair game.

It’s important to have a great weekender at the ready for when we decide to take off. The perfect bag is roomy enough to pack layers for unexpected weather and an extra pair of shoes. I like to store a toiletry kit in the bag so we don’t have to take any time packing one. Of course, it has to be cute! We’re more likely to splurge on lodgings when we’re only staying a short time, so I don’t want to look like we threw everything together at the last minute. Here are a few of my picks…
