If you’ve been dreaming of building your own tiny house, I suggest checking out one of Tumbleweed Tiny House’s 2-Day Workshops: Dream Big, Live Tiny. There’s one coming up in Seattle on October 3 & 4, and they’re offering $70 off admission this month.
Tumbleweed’s workshops cover everything from designing to building to downsizing, and are expertly presented by actual tiny house owners who speak from personal experience. The Seattle workshop will be led by Brittany Yunker who, without any prior construction experience, built her tiny house, Bayside Bungalow, after attending a similar Tumbleweed workshop.
Tumbleweed was founded by tiny house authority Jay Shafer. He has been building tiny homes since 1997 and co-founded the Small House Society in 2002. In 2012, he started Four Lights Tiny Houses and he now offers workshops under their banner. There are still a couple accepting registrations in 2015.
